Digital Humanities – Southern California will be hosting a meeting open to all practitioners of digital humanities and those who are curious to know more. This meeting will be geared toward sharing our local assets, challenges, ongoing projects, and ideas.
Please RSVP if you plan on attending, either in person or virtually. Lunch will be provided for those who attend in person.
10:00 Welcome and Introduction to DHSoCal
10:15 Attendee introduction and sharing of current projects, plans, and partnerships
11:00 Discussion of intersections, collaborations, and desired future efforts. This may include but is not limited to:
- Planning future events: West Coast DH undergrad conference, THAT Camp, 4Hum (May 16), Southwest Regional DH event
- Teaching ideas: DH classes, student projects across campuses, resource sharing
- Growing resources: Institution-building, funding opportunities, library partnerships
- Web presence: Build out DHSoCal website, continuing conversations online
11:45 Lunch and breakout into smaller groups based on interest.
12:30 Small group report back and wrap-up
