Please join us for a lunchtime discussion with Emily Roxworthy, Associate Professor in the Theatre and Dance Department; her current project is titled: WIT: Tackling the UC’s Climate Problems through Workplace Interactive Theatre.

At the urging of the UC Office of the President, Prof. Emily Roxworthy devised an interactive theatre piece to inspire department chairs and deans on all 10 campuses to work toward a more inclusive climate for diversity. Based on interviews with current and former UC faculty and performed by students and alumni from the UCSD graduate Theatre programs, “Ready to Vote?” is the centerpiece of a half-day leadership seminar that all chairs and deans are supposed to complete during 2014-15 (including October 20 at UCSD). On a broader scale, the project attempts an answer to the constant calls for the arts and humanities to justify its contribution to the university at large and to the social issues of our day.

Please RSVP here.
